What drew you to AiCASF:
I was just looking for a film school in Southern California and everyone I met at the school was so supportive and friendly that I felt like I belonged before I started going here.
What AiCASF clubs you are a part of:
Treasurer of "Production Club", Treasurer of "Photo Club", and Vice President of "SWAP" (I pop in on Animation Club every now and then to say hi :D)
What’s your favorite part about being a Peer Mentor?
The networking possibilities of being able to keep up with all the new students as the come into the school.
How many quarters have you been a Peer Mentor?
This is my second quarter and I am learning as I go.
Goals after graduation:
I would like to become a Feature Director or Editor. I find Directing to be the most rewarding because I love discussing character motivation and digging deep into characters to discover why they would act certain ways. It is so much fun to discuss such small details of the human psyche for the sake of entertainment. And Editing is getting to see the film for the first time. Every other step is like walking in the dark trying to find your furniture, while editing is like finally turning the light on.
Hobbies:
Other than Filmmaking obviously I love singing, I have been in choir since I was like 5-years-old as an alto. DDR, I can do most on Standard mode, the slow ones on Heavy, and the really fast ones on Light...I'm not that crazy! I am knee deep in Orson Scott Card's Ender Series currently (SO Good!). Playing my NES, the only way to play Tetris! And...I don't know, as soon as someone asks me I draw a blank.
Favorite thing to do in the city:
I am a bad person to ask because I live at school. Like so many of us do. But I guess my favorite thing would be movies at the Metrion, Van Ness or the mall, with a large icee! yay!
Who would win in a fight, Batman or Superman?
It definitely depends if Batman has Kryptonite or not.
What comic character do you most associate with?
I have no clue. These questions are so random. I would say Batman, because I don't have super powers, but he has like WAY more money than I do. If Manga count....I would say like Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist, but I am not that smart. Maybe like Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece, because he knows what his goals are, has no idea what he is doing, things are hard but not impossible, the world around him is absolutely crazy and unpredictable, but things seem to get better and work out in the end. That sounds about right. Yeah, I'll go with that.
What historical period would you like to visit most, and why?
The Future. It would be fun, even though it would be inaccurate, since my very presents would alter the way it would accurately be enough to probably create some sort of alternate time line, or start a chain reaction causing someone to never be born, or create some sort of time paradox. But it would be cool none-the-less. It is the only time period you can't look up on the internet!
If you could be an animal what animal would you be and why?
Probably a Dog. Just so I can find out what is so exiting about squirrels and other dogs. (I would say bird, but I would most likely crash a lot)
If you could be a celebrity for a day, which celebrity would you be?
I don't know. Maybe Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire, just so I could be awesome at tap dancing.
